Arjan has a long history in the payments and financial industries. Prior to his current role, he served as Country Manager at Mastercard Netherlands and held various positions around the world at Mastercard, Aon and ING. He also served in the Supervisory Board at bunq, European Merchant Services and CM Payments.

The members of the DPA are regulated providers of payment services in the Netherlands: banks, payment institutions, and electronic money institutions. On behalf of its members, the DPA strives for efficient, accessible, secure, and reliable payments, with an eye for the interests and wishes of other participants, such as consumers and merchant and takes care of collective non-competitive tasks and projects within the Dutch Payments ecosystem.
